Pet World started out in 1976, located in a 900 square foot store near the Old Times theatre in Danville. The name was Fish World, and we had just one employee, and sold just fish. About a year and a half later, we added pets and supplies, and changed our name to Pet World. Eight years later, we moved up in front of K-mart, into a 3200 square foot store. Here we added hobbies, and changed our name to Pet & Hobby World. In 1994, we built our own building of 6000 square feet and moved to 3700 North Vermilion. This move gave us all of the room that we needed to expand. In the early part of 2002, we sadly closed our hobby departments, and changed our name back to Pet World. We now have 14 employees with which to serve our customers.

We strive to sell quality products and pets at very competitive prices. We work very hard to stock products that work and have good value for our customers.
